General InformationAs a member of the University Honors Program, you will discover the independent yet supportive learning environment that characterizes the University Honors Program (UHP). Summer honors students have the chance to explore issues and topics of common interests with professors and continuing UHP students and, along the way, to take advantage of the academic resources available at the University of California, Riverside. The Summer University Honors Program (SUHP) builds on the high standards and strong skills that already make you an outstanding student and encourages you to explore new, challenging fields as a UHP student at UC Riverside. Like the UHP during the academic year, the SUHP gives you a good place to develop your intellectual independence in a context of support along with providing the initial introduction into the four key components of the Honors Program: Scholarship, Research, Personal Growth and Community Services. SUHP is also a chance to meet other students, both continuing and new. In the fall, you'll already have a place on campus where you know the people and where people know you. SUHP is designed to make sure that you're ready to get the most out of the UHP during the year. SUHP Activities
