UHP Peer Mentor: Eric Schallert

Hi, I'm Eric Schallert, and am a second year Biological Sciences major here at UC Riverside.  I love to do anything in the outdoors, whether it’s backpacking, camping, bike riding, kayaking, playing basketball, football, tennis, body surfing, walking along the beach etc. etc.  Anything to get outside is what I live for.  I also love to play and listen to music.  I currently play bass in a ska band—Humor the Frog—and play a lot of acoustic guitar on my own. I love to help people in any way that I can.  I hope to go to medical school, and to work with Doctors Without Borders after I get my MD...and then eventually work in the ER on Kauai...wouldn't that be nice. I love my family, and friends, and am looking forward to meeting all of you. I am here to make your experience at UCR the best that it can be, and am willing to help in any way that I can.
