UHP Peer Mentor: Briana Wallace

Hey everyone! My name is Briana Wallace and I'm a third year Interdisciplinary Studies major with emphases in Psychology and Human Development. I am hoping to become a Special Education teacher for children with severe disabilities, but I’m also really interested in social work and counseling, so we’ll see what happens!

A bit about me…I’m originally from San Bernardino, but I call a cute little Riverside apartment my home for now. I like to spend my free time exploring new things and rediscovering old favorites. I am rather infatuated with instruments, and have been trying to brush up on the piano and guitar (can you say “personal growth”?!). Tea, Fraggle Rock, and the smell of rain make me delightfully happy. I am mildly obsessed with the Little Mermaid and live music. I think that coming to UCR was one of the best decisions I have made, and I hope that you will feel the same!

Feel free to stop and say hi if you see me around campus, and here’s to an amazing, mind-blowing, “I-can’t-believe-how-great-this-is” first year!!

Looking for Community Service?

There are a lot of great places in Riverside (or your hometown!) that you can get involved in; my best advice would be to do something you love! Whether it’s volunteering at a hospital downtown or tutoring some kids down the street, giving back is sure to put a smile on your face :-)
