UHP Peer Mentor: Anjali Varigonda

Hey guys!

My name is Anjali V (too long to write out) and I look forward to meeting as many of you guys as I can! I’m from the Canadian east coast (Montreal) and American west coast (San Diego) so I guess that makes me an all-around “North-American” person. If you know anyone from the Canadian east coast, let me know cuz I haven’t met one here yet! I’m a second year currently studying Biological Sciences on the pre-med tract, and one day hope to become geriatrician. I really love reaaallly old people (they’re so cute and fun!) and really young kids, so I could probably see myself treating peeps from both extremes of the age spectrum. Umm….about me….there’s no better way to know than to meet me!

So hit me up on my cell-write me up on email, facebook, myspace, and here’s to a wicked fun and successful first year to you all! Feel free to ask me any questions regarding school and I'll do my best to help you out.

"Nothing splendid has ever been achieved except by those who dared to believe that something inside them was superior to circumstance"--- Bruce Barton

" Always strive to be person your dog thinks you are" --- a very wise person.

Looking for Community Service?

As for community service activities, Young at Heart is great-you volunteer each Saturday for three hours at an Alzheimer’s retirement home. The seniour citizens there are great fun and you can really learn a lot by just hanging out with them. As a general advice, try something completely new to you-there’s a huge array of community service opportunities out there. I wish you all the best in finding something out there that really thrills you.
